Your new photo credit card
More safety in use, personalized with the cardholder's photo for increased safety of operations.
For the transaction, the employee of the retailer accepting the Citi Card will identify your photo to make sure if you are the authorized card user and to prevent a potential fraud.
In addition, your signature is applied twice on the Card, both on front (near the photo) and backside.
All you have to do to personalize your Citi Card is to attach your color picture -passport type (3.5 cm*4.5 cm) to your Credit Card Application Form. Remember to write your name on the back of the photo!
Such photo addition is not mandatory. If you do not want it, DO NOT enclose your photo to the Citi Card Application form.
Selection / modification of the PIN and T-PIN codes
You must contact the CitiPhone to activate your card after its receipt. You will have to choose your PIN code and T-PIN code. This selection process is 100% safe because it is completely machine-made. The changing of your PIN or T-PIN code will be performed in the same way by CitiPhone. You may change the 2 codes any time you want, it is free of charge.
Constant information by CitiAlert on your transactions
If you choose the CitiAlert service, the Bank will keep you informed by both SMS and e-mail on any card transaction, whether it is about shopping, withdrawal or any other operation. This service is not free and provides increased protection against fraud as it constantly informs you in real time on any movement in your card balance.
If you did not apply for the activation of the CitiAlert with the Citi Card application, you may choose it later by using CitiPhone. Its deactivation is also performed by CitiPhone, at any time.
Fraud Early Warning System
This is a revolutionary and proactive method of preventing the fraudulent use of your credit card by unauthorized persons.
How does it work? The system monitors your card usage behavior (the usual shopping places, frequently used amounts) and defines a relevant pattern.
Any transaction not fit in this behavioral pattern is checked by your prompt and direct contact, you will be informed on the transaction details and the card may be blocked if you suspect a fraud.
