Debit card
Unlike carrying large amounts of cash around, a card is safer and easier to use. You no longer have to worry about having to convert your money when travelling abroad, nor do you have to worry about whether a store has change.
At Citi, our debit card is called Citi Card Debit. It is issued free of charge to all customers and you will receive your card, via courier, as quickly as possible upon opening your account.
Initially, the card is activated on your current account in LEI, but with a simple phone call you can change, any time, the current account with which the card is associated.
Furthermore, we can issue additional cards for anyone else you authorize to have access to your account. Also, so you don’t have to worry about anything when travelling abroad, your debit card comes with free travel insurance.
Your Citi Card Debit lets you:
- withdraw from Citibank ATMs in Romania, other bank ATMs in Romania or from ATMs abroad at no charge;
- make purchases in shops, restaurants, hotels or anywhere else that accepts the VISA card in Romania and the world;
- make purchases over the Internet.
