What are Citibank Global Transfers?

Citibank Global Transfers is the instant, most convenient and cost effective way to send and receive money to and from Citibank individual accounts and across many countries.


How it works?

The service enables you to define the transfer amount in either local currency or the currency of the destination country.

To set up a Citibank Global Transfer, you just need the destination account. Funds are debited from your account and credited to the recipient’s account instantly.

  • Log in into your Citibank Online Account
  • Select the Payments Menu
  • Define and activate international payee (For every new payee setup, you will receive Online Activation Code via SMS for activating payee before fund can be transferred).
  • Choose the amount, debit account and destination account
  • Confirm the transaction to complete the process

Cost

All incoming transfers are free. Below you can find the fees for outgoing transfers:

The limit for transfer is the standard Citibank Online limit per day of 50,000 RON
