For international fund transfers and specially authorized transfers, the data appearing in the client's transfer order are being transferred by the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication to the beneficiary's financial institution. This organization is the only one of this kind that's active worldwide and its headquarters are in Belgium. Due to system security reasons, SWIFT stores the transactional data in its data centers in Holland and in the United States of America.

These transactional data may include personal data like name, address or Personal Numerical Code (CNP). The SWIFT messages that may contain personal data are deleted by SWIFT from its private systems according to its internal procedures for storing and deleting data.

For international fund transfers through SWIFT, the rights of the concerned persons, according to the No. 677/2001 law of the Romanian State, concerning the protection of personal data and the freedom of circulation for them, are: the right to free access, the right to intervention and the rights to opposition.
