Citibank Launches Global Transfers - The Most Convenient Way to Send and Receive Money Across 29 Countries Around the World

Citibank Romania customers can now benefit from the most convenient and fast way to send and receive money to and from Citibank individual accounts across 29 countries, through the newly launched Citibank Global Transfers service.

The service enables customers to perform instant, real-time online bank transfers in either local currency or the currency of the destination country. In order to initiate a Citibank Global Transfer, the customer is not required to visit any physical branch, but can access the Citibank Online platform on the bank's website www.citibank.ro to perform the transaction.

"As part of our strategy to make banking products and services available for our customers anytime and anywhere, in a smart and convenient way, we are now offering them the possibility to transfer and receive money across 29 countries.  Including Germany, Spain, UK, US, U.A.E and many other countries, the service offers customers the ability to conduct transactions online wherever they may be", said Rohith Murthy, eBusiness Head at Citibank Romania.

All incoming transfers are free, and fees for outgoing transfers are fixed, in amount of RON 15/ USD 5/ EUR 4/ GBP 3, depending on the currency of the account. The limit for transfer per day is EUR 15,000 or equivalent.
