Kumar Ramachandran, new Country Consumer Bank Head for Citibank Romania S.A.
Kumar Ramachandran has been appointed as the new Country Consumer Bank Head for Citibank Romania from the 15th of September. John Hays, who was managing the Consumer Bank's CitiFinancial business will now take over the newly created role of Sales and Distribution Head for Citibank Romania.
Kumar, 41 years, started his career with Citibank in India in 1989. Over these years he has worked across both Consumer and Corporate businesses in product, sales & distribution, operations & technology and business management roles based in India, the US, the UK, Central Europe and Russia.
Kumar joined the Russia consumer business in April 2005 as Chief Operating Officer. In August 2006 he moved into his current role as Retail Banking Head and in these two years, the business had more than doubled its revenues.
Kumar has a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and an MBA from India. Kumar has attained specialization in management and leadership courses.
Citibank Romania's consumer division provides financial products and services through 39 agencies and 50 direct sales offices located around the country. The consumer division has 440 employees and almost 650 direct sales agents.
